坚硬状态的猕猴桃并不好吃,糖分很低、果实酸涩、还让人感觉刺口。因为其中含有大量蛋白酶,会分解舌头和口腔黏膜的蛋白质,引起不适感。所以,猕猴桃一定要放熟才能食用。猕猴桃的成熟需要几天时间,很多性急的人往往等不及,如果希望它快点成熟,不妨把猕猴桃和已经成熟的其他水果放在一起。这样,苹果、香蕉、西红柿等水果散发出的天然催熟气体乙烯就会传染猕猴桃,促进它变软变甜。催熟后,用手指肚轻轻按压猕猴桃的两端附近,如果感觉不再坚硬,按压处有轻微的变形但也不是很软,就是最佳的食用状态。
