灰汤粽子做法:

选上好稻草(不腐烂,没经过发酵,颜色青黄,梗硬实,有亮泽)烧制成灰;将灰放入容器灌水溶解,后滤除杂质,取其水,用来浸糯米;待2至3小时,取其米包粽子,就是浅咖啡色带碱味的灰汤粽,要比普通的粽子更有韧劲,香味更浓。灰汤粽是江南地区汉族传统小吃,属于糯米肉粽。大概因为包粽子的箬叶和糯米使锅里的水变成灰褐色故名灰汤粽,粽子的颜色为棕灰色半透明,吃起来不蘸白糖,而是浇上一种特制的糖油,甘美滋润,甜而不腻,色香味俱佳,非常好吃,吃了还想吃。
